PHILOSOPHY
Townsend Academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that will promote the growth of your child’s academic and cognitive skills while positively enhancing social and emotional development.  The Academy will offer imaginative, creative and physical play through carefully constructed lesson plans and activities.  It will provide an educational environment that will aid developmental milestones in a nurturing, loving, caring and social environment.

Townsend Academy is owned and will be operated by Jennifer Rivera, Angela Garner and Stephanie Stanley. 

Our goal is to employ teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance the learning environment at Townsend Academy.  To support this goal, Townsend Academy will employ only degreed, highly qualified and experienced teachers.  Each teacher will undergo extensive training to meet requirements of the Academy’s “Teacher Development Program”.

FACILITY
Townsend Academy’s “State of the Art Facility” will be designed to create an environment with numerous opportunities for children to thrive academically, socially, physically and emotionally.  Physical Education and Enrichment Programs will be conducted in a beautiful, hardwood floored, Enrichment Room.  The entire facility will have a fire alarm and sprinkler system.

ACADEMIC AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Comprehensive learning programs for Toddlers, Two year olds, PreK3 – PreK4, PreK5 and Kindergarten Readiness will be included in the curriculum at Townsend Academy.

ENRICHMENT
Our enrichment programs will include Ballet, Gymnastics, Music and Keyboard Lessons, Sport Skills and Computers.

SECURITY
Your child’s security is our #1 concern.  Your child must be delivered into the interior of the facility by way of an electronic security system and a staffed reception area.  Only a parent, guardian or specifically designated individual can pick up your child through the electronic security system.  The facility will also have a camera monitoring system to insure the safety of your child.  A camera monitor will be available for your viewing in the lobby/waiting area of the facility.

LOCATION AND HOURS:

• Townsend Academy will be located in Franklin, TN in the Westhaven Town Center at the corner of Westhaven Blvd and Prospect Ave.
• Townsend Academy will be open 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
